An Australian, family-owned business
We began manufacturing commercial kitchen equipment in 1956. By the late 1970s, we recognised the impact of Asian cuisine within the Australian foodservice industry and started to manufacture ranges to meet this demand.
Over time, we designed and developed a product range consisting of over 100 standard units. That being said, standard units are the exception – most units can be modified, or even have whole new specifications made for a particular kitchen.
Building a foundation
Our wealth of experience has enabled the business to develop an international profile, by supplying our ranges to a large number of clients. Within the Australian market, we’ve supplied equipment to establishments such as Crown and Star City Casinos, Plenus Group, Pancake Parlour, Bosch, Din Tai Fung, and Tim Ho Wan. Beyond Australia, we’ve been fortunate enough to have supplied our ranges to various countries including UAE, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Fiji. This was a result of the recognition received from consultants and end-users, acknowledging that B+S products are durable, reliable, and of excellent quality.
Innovation through experience
With product improvement a priority, we implemented an innovation program based on customer feedback. From this, we recognised that diverse products are needed to accommodate the varying needs of different market sectors.
To help accommodate this, we have split our product offering into three different ranges:
- K+ range – The entry-level series designed to save space and maximise performance.
- B+S Black range – Our standard line is a result of 60 years of experience and is essential for the busy kitchen.
- Verro range – This is where Asian and European appliances meet, offering a solution for high-volume fusion kitchens.
Through ongoing research and development, we have developed a patented burner pilot integration system for our Hipac woks to ensure reliable performance. B+S was the first Australian manufacturer to develop and manufacture a complete waterless wok range and has since added waterless steamers, stockpots, and HiPacs.
